Italy coach Luciano Spalletti has refused to comment on the group draw for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, as he does not yet know which group they will be placed in.

The Azzurri’s position depends on their game against Germany in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals. If they win, they will be draw in Group A with Slovakia, Northern Ireland and Luxembourg. If they lose, they will be draw in Group I with Norway, Israel, Estonia and Moldova.
Asked about Italy’s opponents, Spalletti said: “It’s just speculation and it’s not over yet. This is Italian reasoning, we have to respect the sport and the children who watch us.”
“The future depends on what you get from the players and the youth. We always trust these new talents. They have to be strong. We have to do the best we can. As players with the flag, we have to do the best we can according to tradition and history, nothing else.”
Asked what beating Register ufabet Germany in March would mean. Spalletti said: “It’s about building a strong team – through victories, an Italy that beats Germany is a stronger Italy. We have to take advantage of the good things in the Nations League. From those games we have new strengths to use in the next games.”
“We have to qualify by winning as many games as possible, we have to respect the Nations League and we have to play with the desire to win every game.”
